Your personal intelligence engine. Zero cloud. Zero compromise.
A private AI that lives inside your machine. It captures what you notice, enriches it with on-device intelligence, and connects it into a searchable map of everything you know.
Your signal. Your structure. Your machine.
You save more than you can find.
The internet remembers everything. You cannot remember what you saved. Your attention deserves better than a filing cabinet — and better than algorithmic curation that owns your data and trades your focus.
Every capture is a decision: this was worth keeping. But those decisions vanish into black-box services that cannot prove your trust.
The result is context collapse. A life of reading without connection. Saving without structure. Thousands of signals. No map.
Gearbox Relay runs entirely on your machine.
Your highlights never leave. Your patterns never train someone else's product. The math makes it architecturally impossible for anyone to access your data.
Not a claim. A promise written in code: your attention becomes structure, privately and permanently. Only you decide what matters.
Relay captures what you notice, enriches it with your personal on-device AI, and connects it into a searchable map of everything you know. You are the curator. The AI is the index. The privacy is non-negotiable.
The architecture has three layers
Capture. Text, quotes, links, snippets — whatever you notice and choose to keep. Paste directly, use the browser extension, or share from any app on mobile.
Enrichment. On-device AI reads your captures, extracts meaning, generates summaries, adds tags. Everything processes locally. Your signal never travels to a server.
Structure. Your captures form connections. Topics emerge. You see the patterns in your attention — because the map belongs to you, not a cloud provider.
We cannot see your data.
We cannot give anyone access. End-to-end encryption with keys derived from your password. We hold no keys. The core client is open-source. Verify for yourself.
The desktop client, the mobile apps, and the core engine are all Apache 2.0 on GitHub. No hidden components. No encrypted blobs only we control. Typefaces load from Google Fonts (no cookies, no tracking).
Your data stays in your machine. Your sync server. Your encryption keys. Your decisions about who to follow and what to share. This is not privacy by policy. This is privacy by architecture.
Open-source verification — github.com/AWRMemo/gearbox-client
The public repository tracks every line that touches your data. You can build from source. You can run your own sync server. This is the guarantee.
What others are mapping.
Inside Relay, a Stream is a living curation — your perspective on a frequency, evolving as you encounter new signal. Others subscribe to your output on a specific wavelength. You decide what is public and what stays private.

Privacy by architecture.
Relay stores everything locally on your device. Sync is optional, encrypted, and under your control. We do not have access to your data, your keys, or your patterns. This is not a policy promise. It is a structural fact of the software.
For questions about data handling, use the contact form. For account deletion or export, these features are available inside the Relay app settings.
