Build the thing that builds the internet.
Why Gearbox exists
The internet runs on hardware. Routers, switches, optics, line cards, chassis—millions of devices across thousands of sites. Every one of them has a lifecycle. Every one of them will fail, reach end-of-life, or need to be replaced as traffic grows.
Today, the world's largest network operators manage this with spreadsheets, email threads, and tribal knowledge. A VP of Network Planning told us their team spent 40 hours per week just reconciling supplier quotes. Another told us they discovered a critical EOL notice six months after the last-time-buy deadline.
We built Gearbox because the problem is not a lack of data. It is a lack of a system that connects the data. Telemetry lives in Netcool. Inventory lives in ServiceNow. Pricing lives in Cisco Commerce and Juniper Partner Portal. Procurement lives in SAP Ariba. These systems do not talk to each other.
Gearbox is the layer that connects them. We ingest telemetry, build a live digital twin, predict failures before they happen, optimize spares across warehouses, and automate procurement from RFQ to PO. One platform. One source of truth.
We are a team of network engineers, supply chain experts, and machine learning researchers. We have built infrastructure at companies like Google, Amazon, and Cloudflare. We know this problem because we have lived it.
