An asset is any piece of IT or network hardware you track in Gearbox — servers, network gear, storage, endpoints. Your asset count is the number of assets in your fleet at billing time.
Yes. The Free plan covers up to 100 assets with no time limit and no credit card required. It includes CSV import, lifecycle dashboards, and RUL scoring — enough to evaluate the platform on your own data.
Growth starts at $5–15 per asset per month, depending on fleet size and contract term. Larger fleets and annual commitments pay less per asset — we quote a rate for your exact fleet during onboarding.
You can stay on Free with your first 100 assets or upgrade to Growth for unlimited assets. Upgrades are prorated, and your team keeps full access to everything you have already built.
Yes. Annual billing saves 20% — $4–12 per asset per month on Growth. Enterprise contracts are billed annually with custom terms.
Yes — most teams start with a pilot on a real subset of their fleet. Our onboarding team handles the integration, and most pilots are live within two weeks. Talk to sales to set one up.
Yes. Every plan uses the same controls: TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest, and tenant isolation. SOC 2 Type II certification is in progress. See our security page for the full control list.
Yes. Our Data Processing Agreement is available at /legal/dpa, and we are happy to sign your organization’s DPA where terms are mutually acceptable.
