Gearbox Inc. collects information you provide directly: name, email address, company name, and role when you contact us or create an account. We also collect network telemetry data, device inventory, and procurement data necessary to operate the Gearbox platform.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve the Gearbox platform; to communicate with you about your account, updates, and support; and to develop new features and services. Network telemetry and procurement data are used exclusively to power the platform's forecasting, prediction, and procurement automation features.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with third-party service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g., cloud infrastructure, analytics). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, and regular security audits. Our SOC 2 Type II certification is in progress. Multi-tenant data is isolated using cryptographic tenant isolation.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Upon account termination, we will delete or anonymize your data within 90 days unless legal obligations require longer retention.

Your Rights

Federated Learning and Differential Privacy

Gearbox uses federated learning and differential privacy to build aggregate failure prediction models across multiple operators. Raw telemetry data never leaves your environment. Only anonymized model updates are shared, and differential privacy guarantees that individual device data cannot be reverse-engineered from the aggregate model.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the platform. Your continued use of Gearbox after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
